Nearly 90% of the world’s Sickle Cell Anemia population lives in two African countries: Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the disease affects up to 2% of the population. The goal of the Eben Family Sickle Cell Foundation is to raise funds that can help carriers of Sickle Cell Anemia in Cameroon, the US, as well as other countries in Africa.
